But we’re trying to be healthy together.
Healthy doesn’t always look “pretty.”
It looks ugly sometimes.'
You Can Always Work It Out
By Herman Harris
The church is a place of comfort, but sometimes it’s difficult, too. We don’t always agree. It’s a space where you can disagree and agreewithout causing too much chaos because it’s alright to disagree.
As long as you’re in the room working it out, we can work it out.
The church is a place where you can work it out. You can always work it out. You might not agree some days, but in the church, I could always come to you and say, “Hey, I didn’t agree with you just now, and I apologize if I offended you.”
The church is that space where you can do all that. You can be apologetic and be at peace. You can break the ice!
When I first started at Mercy, it could get chaotic, but I learned how to deal with the chaos and stay in the space.
You have to realize the type of ministry we’re involved with. And I like the type of ministry we’re involved with because it helps people. No matter what people’s situations are, we all try to work it out together.
You’re working through your stuff, and I’m working through my stuff. We’re all working. It isn’t always going to be pretty every day.
Some days, you might come in there fussing, and I have to give you some space and back up a little bit. Mercy made me realize that.
Some days, you have to give people some space and back up a bit. But we’re trying to be healthy together.
Healthy doesn’t always look “pretty.” It looks ugly sometimes. Still, the church is a place where we can work it out together.
