"I run into people on the train who are mad, and I’ll say, 'Hey man, it’s going to be alright.' 'Take this sandwich,' or 'Take this bottle of water,' or 'I feel you; I feel you.' God brings us together like that, pulls us together like that."
Some days, God wants me to feel other people’s pain so I can say hello and watch out for them.
Words can make a difference. Every day, you run across people. You can run across someone, and they’re having a bad day.
You can say, “Oh, man. That shirt looks nice on you this morning.” Or “Your hat looks great! Where’d you buy that?” I say certain things like that just to make someone have a different thought if they’re mad or angry.
I run into people on the train who are mad, and I’ll say, “Hey man, it’s going to be alright.” “Take this sandwich,” or “Take this bottle of water,” or “I feel you; I feel you.”
God brings us together like that, pulls us together like that. God takes the bad and the ugly but pulls us together. It doesn’t take but a little spark.
