Psalm 91:1-16

Reflection—v. 2 ‘my refuge and my fortress’

I feel that if you as a person have made the absolute decision to live in the one hundred percent shelter of the most High God and abide in the shadow of the Almighty, and say to the Lord, ‘You are my refuge and my fortress, whom I trust,’ God will for sure protect you and guide you. Sometimes it can feel like thousands and thousands of people are against you, but God’s promise is that ultimately, the things that are against you will fall by the wayside. God has got you and cares about you and your well being. God is a God who cares about justice, and promises that the evil that pursues you—‘the serpent’ that threatens your well-being and your life—will be trampled under foot. Those who love God and trust God will be protected. God will be with you through all your problems and troubles in life.

Prayer God who protects us, help us to trust in you one hundred percent—and know that you care about us and our well-being.
